VIOLETTA GAMBI was born in Naples, Italy to an opera-singer mother and a pirate father. She followed in her mother’s footsteps to the stage, but soon grew tired of wearing corsets and heavy costumes. After getting into one too many fights backstage, she left the opera house in search of freedom on the seas.
